The 48th Annual Community Art Show and Sale was held from April 12-14, 2024. Featuring more than 400 works of art from more than 130 local community artists, the event showcased the amazing art talent in our community and offered appealing original art at affordable prices.
Artwork was exhibited and judged in 10 categories: Oil, Acrylic, Pastel, Watercolor, Mixed Media, Prints & Drawings, Portraits, Photography, Smalls, and Other Media (for 2-D works in media such as glass, wood, metal, and paper). The Awards section of our website includes photos of Best in Show; 1st, 2nd, 3rd place; and Honorable Mentions. A recording of the judge's comments from our virtual awards reception is also on the Awards page.
The judge for the show was Eric Westbrook. Eric is a painter, illustrator, and art instructor living and working in the Washington, DC area. His landscape and portrait paintings are frequently exhibited in solo and group shows, and are held in public and private collections. Current and former teaching venues include The Yellow Barn at Glen Echo, The Smithsonian, and VisArts in Rockville. See the Westbrook Fine Art website for more information.
