The 47th Annual Community Art Show and Sale was held from March 24-26. The event showcased the amazing art talent in our community and offered appealing original art at affordable prices.
The show featured 113 artists and nearly 400 works of art in 10 categories: Oils, Acrylics, Pastels, Watercolors, Mixed Media, Prints & Drawings, Portraits, Photography, Smalls, and Other Media (for 2-D works in media such as glass, wood, metal, and paper).
Awards were given in each of the 10 show categories. The Awards section of our website includes photos of Best in Show; 1st, 2nd, 3rd place; and Honorable Mentions. A recording of the judge's comments from our virtual awards reception is also on the Awards page.
The judge for the show was Lisa Denison, a local artist and educator who brings a deep passion for critical thinking, discussion, and vision to her students. With more than 20 years experience in art education, she currently serves on the faculty of The Compass Atelier in Rockville, MD. Her artwork has been exhibited in galleries in the DC metropolitan area and more widely in Pennsylvania, Virginia, and California.
