FAQs

How Many People Can Be Accommodated Inside The Clubhouse? 

The Woman’s Club of Chevy Chase can accommodate 200 people seated in the banquet hall. Adjacent to the hall is a library with 2 fireplaces, a large stage, separate vendor access, large warming kitchen, and access to a private outdoor patio.  The banquet hall can also be arranged to accommodate both a large dance area near the stage along with banquet tables near the kitchen and people seated nearby.  The South Wing can accommodate 50 people seated and is the perfect location for a breakout session from a conference or a smaller gathering.  The South Wing also has a large tv and tall windows allowing natural lighting.   


How Many People Can Be Accommodated Outside In The Garden? 

The garden area can be rented separately and can accommodate 50 people seated.  A private patio allows for a tent and a serving area close to a warming kitchen inside.   


What Is Included In The Rental Fee? 

  • Rectangular tables and (brown) fold down chairs 
  • Warming kitchen with a large refrigerator and freezer for ice
  • Dressing room / full bathroom located upstairs (bridal use only)
  • Large speakers, microphone and podium located in banquet hall*
  • Free parking for 90 vehicles
  • Trash and recycling removal (trash and recycling is to be placed in heavy garbage bags, tied securely and placed in the outdoor bins located in the parking lot) 
  • Flexible refund policy  

*Other electronics, including 2 large screen tv’s, are also available for an additional fee.   


Can I Use My Own Vendors?

Yes.  We can provide a list of vendors from past events if that would be helpful.  


Can We Bring Our Own Alcohol?

Yes.  If you plan to sell alcoholic beverages or include alcohol service in a ticket sales’ price, then a permit must be obtained from the Montgomery County Liquor Licenses Board in advance of the event.   


What Is The Price Range For Events?

We recommend you contact our Clubhouse Manager for rental fees. Different fees are available during the week and the weekend, for outdoor rentals and the 2 different rooms inside the clubhouse. There is a minimum of a four (4) hour rental fee, which does not include the cost of food and beverage during the event, or the cost of set up or clean up. There is a $600 security deposit required with the signed contract, which is refundable upon no damage to the clubhouse or outdoor area.   


Is Your Clubhouse Wheelchair Accessible?

Yes – there is a wheelchair accessible walkway directly connected to our parking lot, which leads to a level entry into a back door near the garden.    


What Is Your Cancellation Policy?

We understand plans change. If you cancel in writing within a predetermined number of days (set by the Clubhouse Manager) before your scheduled event, you will receive a full refund.
